The Events Committee is responsible for generating ideas for, planning, coordinating, executing, and managing all events related to the organization, such as fundraising events and adoption events. The committee will ensure that each event aligns with the organization’s mission and goals, enhances community involvement, and raises funds to support the animals. Members of the committee will collaborate with CSHS staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure that all events run smoothly and are properly staffed. Committee members can expect to spend approximately 2-4 hours per month on duties and responsibilities. Time commitments fluctuate depending on projects and initiatives. This does not include time spent onsite at events, which will vary based on event schedule.

The Marketing & Development Committee is responsible for working with and supporting the CSHS staff (including Executive Director and Director of Development and Communications) in identifying, cultivating, and securing financial resources through grants and donor relationships, in addition to fundraising campaigns, social media campaigns, and public communications. The committee plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission by developing strategies to engage current and potential donors, building long-term partnerships, and pursuing grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.

Cat Care Volunteers help CSHS staff care for the cats who call the center a temporary home. Read the full job description here.
All shifts are currently filled, but we are always looking for substitute care volunteers to cover shifts as needed.

Cleaning volunteers help keep our center squeaky clean! Our current cleaning volunteer time is Tuesday afternoon from 12 PM - 2 PM. Our cleaning volunteers are focused solely on cleaning projects and cleaning maintenance around the shelter.

Are you a skilled handyman who loves animals? Our rescue is looking for a reliable volunteer to be on call for various odd jobs and maintenance tasks around our facility. From fixing kennels and minor repairs to helping set up for events, your skills can make a big difference in creating a safe and welcoming space for our rescued animals.
